Tessera Noir takes the woven grid and fills every other tile with opaque black instead of translucent paint. Where the original scatters red and cobalt across the table, this one casts a hard checkerboard shadow. Graphic instead of prismatic.

Each tile is painted by hand, so the checker never lands quite the same way twice.

Goes with everything

Black and clear is the point. It sits on a dark table without disappearing and on a pale one without shouting. If the multicoloured Tessera felt like too much for your kitchen, this is the same glass with the volume down.

Care

Hand wash in warm water with a soft cloth. Avoid boiling water, hot drinks and sudden temperature changes.

Made by hand

Small bubbles, specks and subtle variations in the black are part of the making process. Measurements may vary by a few millimetres between batches.
